Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01-01-2026) :-

  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture and Staff Selection Commission: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent. 
  • For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry mentioned at Para 8.1 in Advertisement ): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. 
  • The candidates who have appeared in their 12th Standard or equivalent examination can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before the cutoff date i.e. 01-01-2026. 

• Tentative vacancies: There are approx. 3131 tentative vacancies. 

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – 19,900-63,200 Pay Level-2 
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) – 29,200-92,300  Level-5 
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’ – 25,500-81,100 Pay Level-4

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below: • Tier-I 

  • Tier-I
  • Tier-II 
  • Marks scored by the candidates in Computer Based Examination, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the procedure published by the Commission vide Notice dated 02-06-2025 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks. 
  • Tentative Answer Keys of the Computer Based Examinations will be placed on the website of the Commission after the Examination 
  • The Tier-I Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. 
  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. 

Tier-II 

Section-I: 

  1. A: Mathematical Abilities 
  2. B: Reasoning and General Intelligence.

Section-II:  

  1. A: English Language and Comprehension
  2. B: General Awareness 

Section-III:

 Computer Knowledge Test 

Section-IV: 

Skill Test/Typing Test 

Mode of Selection :-

Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, and Section-I, Section-II and Section-III of Tier-II Examination are as follows: 

  • UR : 30%
  • OBC/ EWS : 25% 
  • All other categories : 20% 
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II Examination on the basis of their performance in Tier-I Examination.

The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:

  • (A) One-Time Registration (OTR).
  • (B) Filling online Application for the Examination. 

 Part-A (One-Time Registration )

Please read the instructions given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the online ‘One-time Registration Form’ and “Application Form” .

  • Aadhaar Based Authentication has been implemented for current Examination. 
  • Before proceeding the One-time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready: 
  •  Mobile Number 
  •  Email ID 

Aadhaar Card Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available, please give any one of the following Identity numbers. (You will be required to provide the original document at a later stage): 

  • (i) Voter Identity Card 
  • (ii) PAN 
  • (iii) Passport 
  • (iv) Driving License
  • (v) School / College Identity Card 
  • (vi) Employer Identity Card (Government/ PSU/Private) 

• For One-time Registration (OTR), click on “Login or Register” button provided on https://ssc.gov.in 

Part-B (Online Application Form) 

  • Login to online system through your “Registration Number” and password.
  • Click Apply link in Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2025 .
  • fill all details carefully.
  • Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height). Applications with illegible/ blurred signature will be rejected. 
  • The application module has been designed to capture a photograph of the candidate filling up the application form. 

Candidates are advised to follow the following instructions while capturing live photographs –

  •  (i) Find a place with good light and plain background.
  •  (ii) Ensure the camera is at eye level before taking the photo. 
  • (iii) Position yourself directly in front of the camera and look straight ahead. 
  • (iv) Candidates shouldn’t wear a cap, mask or glasses/spectacles while capturing the photo.
